Sedation
General Anesthesia and IV Sedation
We offer various types of sedation based on your child's needs. We work closely with pediatric anesthesiologists to monitor care of your child for any oral sedation. We are contracted with Kaiser Permamente Hospital and have use of their facilities for extensive treatment needs. We are also contracted with the La Veta Surgical Center and can treat patients with their approved medical insurances.

From allowing dentition to mature on their own to taking a more conservative approach to cavities with SDF instead of traditional fillings. Hello, I am Dr. Bob Valdez, I grew up in Los Angeles and attended college at CSU Dominguez Hills. From there I attended dental school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, completing my degree in 1982. After that, I worked in a Post-graduate Pediatric Residency at the University of Southern California, earning my certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1985.
I have worked in the city of Whittier since 1993. In late 2008 I established my dental clinic in the Uptown Whittier District. I offer a wide range of services for pediatric patients. In addition to pediatric dentistry services, I also specialize in treating special needs children as well children who are chronically and critically ill.
I have worked with Kaiser Permamente for the entirety of my career to allow extensive dental treatment to be performed for patients who need it. It’s essential to make the patient feel comfortable when it comes to dental procedures, so being patient friendly is my top priority.

Help! I'm a cash patient can I still be seen at your office?
If you are a cash patient that is no problem! We have clear concise pricing to make everything clear before your visit
What Insurances do you accept?
We accept most PPO plans as well as Single Medi-cal. We do have contracts with all large insurance plans: Aetna Dental PPO, Blue Cross of CA, Cigna, Delta Dental, MetLife, United Concordia...and many more!
Your office hours are listed as by appointment. What does that mean?
By appointment means that we do not accept walk-in appointments. You can contact our office and we will be happy to set up an appointment for your child. We are in the office: Mon-Wed from 01:00pm-04:00pm, Thursday 09:00am-12:00pm and one Saturday a month. Dr. Bob works at the hospital on Fridays and does not schedule patients for that day.
Can I set up a payment plan?
Depending on the cost of treatment, we will happily offer a payment plan. All payment plans require a 50% deposit and payments are due monthly after the initial deposit is paid.
What types of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Checks, Visa, Mastercard, Android pay, Samsung pay, and Apple Pay. All payments can be made in office, by mail or over the phone.
